COTTAGE CITY FIREHOUSE

COTTAGE CITY, Maryland
$125,000 in grants awarded
PROJECT STATUS: In progress
Triple Line Studio worked with The Gateway Community Development Corporation and THR33 Productions as the owner’s representative and project manager for the due diligence in plans to purchase of a 1939 brick firehouse in Cottage City, Maryland. The adaptive reuse of the historic firehouse includes a large film studio and smaller art studios with a gallery, just steps from Washington DC, connecting to the vibrant Gateway Arts District of Prince George’s County.
Triple Line Studio provided project management services throughout due diligence, engaging with contractors, engineers, and surveyors to assess the property. We also acted as a funding advisor, directing the client to potential grants and assisting with grant applications. The client won the maximum amounts awardable with both the Prince George’s Historic Preservation Non-capital Grant and the Maryland Heritage Area’s Authority grant. Both of these awarded grants totaled $125,000 in funding for the design and construction of this project.
